The diesigners are inspired

The New Year began for diesigner with a visit to the international furniture fair in Cologne. The imm cologne is the leading platform worldwide for fresh ideas, innovations and trends as well as young, creative and yet unseen design. It is here where new impulses for the entire industry are set - and the themes for the coming months.

Salzburg was on the schedule at the end of January. The CASA * ​​is a pulse generator and a market barometer for interior design and residential design. Here we were able to experience the latest creations in decorative home textiles.

Back in February, we were drawn to Frankfurt for the Ambiente. Here at the most important international trade fair for consumer goods, an unparalled diversity of products in the world of the living, furnishings and decorating was exhibited.

March put the focus on wood. The fair Holz-Handwerk in Nuremberg is a European trade fair where the complete spectrum of wood crafts including innovative material solutions and trends as well as developments in the wood sector are presented. Our attention especially concentrated on the discovery of new, innovative materials and surfaces.

A real highlight for us was our visit to the Light + Building in Frankfurt. At the international trade fair for lighting and building technology, the diesigners informed themselves of the latest trends in the areas of design, materials and technology as well as gaining more insights as to the effects lighting has on humans emotionally and biologically. In addition, we were able to make the acquaintance of the very personable designer William Brand, owner of a company which we highly esteem, the world famous Dutch firm BrandvanEgmond (photo).
