DECKEL MAHO | Pfronten - Company restaurant - Lighting design
The DECKEL MAHO Pfronten factory, a subsidiary of DMG MORI, commissioned us with the prestigious canteen project to design a coherent and exciting lighting concept.
It was with great pleasure that we were able to take on both the planning for the outdoor furniture and the creation and delivery of the lighting concept.
The main challange was that the light sources should not be directly visible from the technical room lighting. We decided to install glare-free luminaires that visually disappear into the ceiling with recessed lenses.
In addition, it was very important to us that the lighting had a high colour rendering index of 95 in order to brilliantly set the scene for the elegant furnishings in strong colours.
To create individual islands of light at the dining tables, decorative pendant luminaires in the form of a polished copper sphere were suspended.
The result is a great and modern canteen where the employees of DECKEL MAHO Pfronten can relax during their breaks and enjoy the delicious food prepared by chef Bernhard Kampmann of the "Schlichte Hof" restaurant.
The overall project was designed by RUSCHKE+ERNST Architekten from Bielefeld. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their confidence in us and excellent cooperation.
